Kubota RTV900 Utility Vehicle
Kubota Tractor Corporation has added two models to its line of RTV900 utility vehicles. The new Turf Utility and Worksite Utility vehicles also feature a hydraulic utility valve as standard equipment to accommodate Kubota’s expanded line of implements. The hydraulic utility valve has the power to drive such tools as a salt and sand spreader, sprayer, concrete cutter, chainsaw and posthole digger. The valve, with a 5-gpm pump capacity, includes a flush-face quick coupler, oil cooler with electric fan and high-capacity oil tank. The new models also feature a hand throttle that allows the operator to increase engine rpm while operating the tools.
The Turf Utility rides on 25-inch turf tires, while the Worksite Utility is shod with heavy-duty worksite tires. Both units feature an industrial-grade, high-capacity air cleaner mounted near the top of the cage, designed so that the engine draws the cleanest air possible in dusty work environments.
All six RTV900 models-Standard, Worksite, Recreation, Turf, Turf Utility and Worksite Utility-feature selectable four-wheel drive, Kubota’s exclusive three-range variable hydrostatic transmission and a Kubota three-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine rated at 21.6 hp. Kubota has added an Easy Range Shift Assist Mechanism–by depressing the brake pedal and pulling the shaft assist knob, gear changes are made more easily. Kubota’s engineers also boosted the reverse speed reduction ratio by 17% to give the RTV900 models increased torque for extra traction in adverse working conditions.
Operator comfort and controls have also been upgraded to include a new seat with deeper cushioning and a revised backrest shape and retractable seatbelts that are easier to fasten; a speedometer, so the operator can closely monitor speed for precision work; and the tailgate features a sturdier, smoother-operating latching mechanism.
Kubota has also added several new items to the line of accessories available for the RTV900 line, including clear or tinted windshields, 3,000- and 4,000-pound-capacity winches, a heavy-duty hydraulic blade, storage box with gun and tool rack and orange or camouflage thermoformed hard cabs.

Hydraulic Power and Tools to Accomplish Tough Jobs
Kubota’s RTV900 Work Utility and Turf Utility models feature an exclusive hydraulic utility system with a remote valve that powers eight new heavy-duty hydraulic tools to break concrete, cut lumber and brush, prune orchards, drive posts and perform other tough tasks. Kubota’s exclusive hydraulic utility system features a remote valve that is conveniently located at the rear of the vehicle, allowing the power source to go to where the task is.

Tree trimming is now easier with the V6280 Pruner
It has a five-gallon-per-minute (gpm) pump capacity as well as a dedicated hydraulic oil cooler and reservoir to keep tools running at peak performance.
Specialized to handle any job, the power sources are customized to get the work done right, including:
- V6200 Breaker uses hydraulic power from RTV900 Utility models to break light concrete, asphalt or rocks
- For post-hole digging and post driving, the V6260 Earth Auger bores holes up to an eight-inch diameter and 3.5-foot depth
- V6230 Diamond Chainsaw is ideal for cutting concrete, brick, stone and other masonry, while the V6210 Chainsaw is designed for lumber and brush-cutting applications
- Tree trimming is now easier with the V6280 Pruner and the V6220 Pole Chainsaw, which has a cutting capacity of 2.25 inches and a 12-inch bar length, respectively
- V6270 Post Driver comfortably drives U-channel, square and round posts as well as delineators
- Rounding out the new hydraulic tools is the V6290 Sump Pump, with a three-inch camlock and a 250-gpm capacity for pumping liquids
