While the KTM Enduro Factory Team snapped the E3 world title with David Knight and had five of their six official factory riders on the podium, there was plenty of action among the junior ranks with KTM Farioli’s Lorenzo of Santolino settled the EJ world championship title.

After a tough struggle during the season against Jeremy Joly of France, the promising young rider settled the title by accumulating eight victories to better the total of his compatriot last year, the title winner Oriol Mena who now races in the senior competition.

Speaking about his success and his future plans, Lorenzo Santolino said: “I am very happy, it was a difficult day, and I thought it would never end. I want to thank everyone who helped me get there, especially the team and my family. I think this season has been built on my good start to the year, although I did have some problems with two retirements. I just hope that next year I can continue to get good results in the Seniors.

Spain’s future in Enduro was further secured when young Spanish rider Mario Roman settled the Youth Cup title in his favor, underlining that KTM is a company that is committed to sponsoring not only the best riding talent in top level competition but also nurturing the next generation of competitors.
