Cypress, CA (4/8/2010) – On Monday, April 5, Yamaha sponsored ATV racer Bill Ballance had an ATV crash while practicing near his home in Kentucky. Ballance suffered multiple injuries and was initially taken to a hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. Later that day, he was transferred to the University of Louisville Trauma Center in Louisville, Ky., where he is currently receiving treatment. The cause of the crash is still unconfirmed. No one else was involved in the incident.

“Yamaha is aware of Bill’s situation and we’re staying in touch with his family as they determine the extent of his injuries and the appropriate treatments to help him fully recover,” said Steve Nessl, Yamaha’s ATV Group marketing manager. “Bill is part of the Yamaha family, and he is one of the toughest guys we know. While we understand his injuries are serious, we are hopeful that he will make a full recovery.”

Ballance is a nine-time pro champion of the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) ATV racing
