Team General Tire’s Carl Renezeder Continues Assault On Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series

Surprise, AZ – (April 19, 2010) — Carl Renezeder, flying the Team General Tire colors, beat back against wrecks and rolls to reach the podium during second round action of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing series in Surprise this weekend.

When it was over, he podiumed four events:  A win in Pro 2, and a 3rd in Pro 4 during Saturday action; and 2nd place in both classes to close out the weekend on Sunday.

“This was a hard-fought weekend battle, but Carl prevailed to take Team General Tire to the podium in all of his events,” said Dana Zamalloa, Manager of PR and Communications.  ”Carl is the ultimate contender and we are so excited about his performance this weekend.  This is going to be a great season of racing.”

General Tire is ‘unleashing the fury’ for a third season of off-road action with the new Grabber Short Course tire, the Grabber SC, designed in size 35×12.50R17 for Pro 2 and Pro 4 drivers. Engineered with a tough, three-ply Duragen™-reinforced body construction to stand up to the rigors of off-road conditions, the Grabber SC also features a newly-developed competition-specific tread compound. In addition, the Grabber name and General Tire logo are prominently featured on the sidewall in red and white letters.

The Grabber SC is the sister tire to the Grabber desert tire designed in size 37×12.50R17 for class 8 and trophy truck/trick truck; and 35×12.50R17 for class 1, 6, 7, 7 S, stock mini and Protruck.
