Maxxis Signs Brian Deegan

As freestyle motocross superstar Brian Deegan makes the transition from two to four wheels, he’ll be riding the brand of champions. Maxxis has signed Deegan to a sponsorship deal, and the ten-time X Game medalist couldn’t be happier.
“I’m excited to be with Maxxis because they’re really into working with me,” said Deegan. “They really want to win just like I do, and they have the same goals I have. They’re going to spend the time working with me so that I can be the best.”
Deegan is also pleased with the performance of his Bighorn tires, citing their noticeably better grip and hook-up. He’ll give those Bighorns a workout as he competes in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. His schedule also includes a stint at the X Games in August, although Deegan says that the less risky conditions of off-road racing are a major draw for him. “I still want to be competitive, but with the roll cage, it’s safer,” said Deegan.
Brad Williams of Maxxis says that the company is happy to have Deegan aboard. “In his relatively short tenure in off-road racing, Deegan has brought many new promotional opportunities to the series and already proven he is a leader in the sport,” said Williams. “We are thrilled he has decided to join our team, adding to the long list of Maxxis champions.”
